Still Raining [:D]




It's been a while that I have written anything.This is attributed to having lot's of work at the office.
There have been a lot of happenings but nothing of note. It is still raining here & I have still been clicking in rains.

Remember the cartoons on the Cover of our Mathematics textbooks? These drawings are by an artist known as S.D.Phadnis.S.D or shi.da.Phadnis as he is usually known is very much known due to his cartoons that grace the magzine covers of various marathi monthly/bi-monthly magzines such as Mohini etc. His Pictures are simple with no words at all.The pictures speak for themselves...... His style of humor is simple and usually finds humor even in routine situations.Even today it is great to see the artist's pictures and the artist as well.The Occasion was the exibhition of his cartoons (Hasari Gallery)that was held in Yashwantrao chavan gallery organised by the Rotary Club Of Shanivarwada. PhotoJournal - Awake

Awake , a photo by J.Madhavi on Flickr. We are already nearing the finish of the first month of the new year - 2013. Around 6-ish years since my first blog post. How fast time flies!! I haven't been regular in posting on my blog.It is due to a mix of laziness/nothing to write about. I think from now on, i will start writing a bit about photography.. the photos that I have taken on my road trips with husband. So here's one; Awake!! A Bit on photo background. Living in northern india has its perks. First, is the proximity to the fascinating & enchanting himalayas. There are many trekking,touring spots that are within a day's drive. One such destination was Kufri. It is a silent hill-station near Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). An ideal destination to just get lost and far from the maddening crowd. The Freedom Writer

It's been a long interval between my posts.But that was because I felt that I had nothing to write about.I'm blessed to be alive n Clicking.That's right clicking photos. I joined my Company's online Photography Group.But as of yet there haven't been any comments on them.Well i'm not sure where I stand. But It was after a long time that I got to watch a movie called "The Freedom Writers". The main starcast of the Film is the noted American Actress Hillary Swank.The story is about how a group of 150 students with a idealist Teacher helped them to overcome their obstacles. What's more it is based on a true story.The young idealist teacher is portrayed by Hillary Swank who is very much endearable in the role and does her part convincingly.
